Terry's Book Club

THIS IS A FIRST FOR ME.

I’m 22 pages into this book and I can tell that this will be one of the top five most important books in my life.

Steven Pressfield has been on my TERRY JAYMES ALIVE podcast talking about one of his other amazing books. But at this point in my life, I need this book.

TURNING PRO will be a book you will re-read for the rest of your life. Buy a bunch of them as gifts and a bunch for yourself because you’re going to wear them out!

I picked this book up because Jimmy Kimmel had the guy on. He was this older, high energy, throwback kind of dude. A very creative man from the advertising world - George Lois

This book is full of short chapters (usually only about a paragraph long) of really cool chunks of knowledge.

Jimmy Kimmel bought a bunch of copies for his friends. This is a practice I do with mine, so I thought I would give it a shot. I’m very happy I did too. This damn thing stays on the coffee table and I pick it up from time to time.  I read it as often as I can in hopes that it really sinks in!

I make no attempt to hide the love I have for Richard Bach. This book is special to me on a couple of different levels.

Like all of Richards books, you get different massages. Don’t believe me? Just read a chapter one day, then reread the same chapter the next day. It’s like a whole different book. It’s such a gift!

The other reason is that I was in contact with Richard when he was in Florida just before he took off on this amazing adventure. When he reached his home in Washington state, we recorded my Terry Jaymes Alive Podcast (on www.terryjaymes.com). One of my favorite moments in my entire broadcasting career.

He since has had a horrible accident while flying PUFF. I’m happy to say he seems to be on the road to recovery. I will do everything within my power to try to get him back on the ALIVE Podcast. 

RUMOR: OK, no rumor, I know for a fact that it’s true. Look for the rerelease of Jonathan Livingston Seagull … with a fourth and final chapter.

I LOVE IT! Read everything you can get your hands on by this special man!

Russell Simmons is a true inspiration. This is basic and brilliant! There is a strong spiritual side to this book. But it’s not “preachy” — I, like Russell, believe that a spiritual side (no matter what you choose) is very important. 

This is one of those books you can pick up at any time in your life, open it anywhere, and get a good feeling. It’s a must have for your collection.

I liked this book only because I like Craig. I was looking for a little more inspiration from it. However, if you like some great stories about being a drunk, this is for you. I do believe this could help turn your life around if you drink too much.

This guy totally inspires me. Read ANYTHING by David Sedaris. Creative, dark, fearless and damn funny. You’ll want to read everything he writes. 

This is just a great read. You’ll never look at animals the same. Inspirational and full of love! You’ll call and thank me when you’re done reading this.

THE SECRET is what it is. I’ve been unknowingly living this lifestyle forever. Rhonda Byrne makes it look so simple. The history about THE SECRET is what’s important to me. The great thinkers, leaders and success stories of the past and present all practice it in some form. Keep an open mind and just try it. It works. Trust me.

Steven Pressfield is my STEPS book as a guest I want on Terry Jaymes ALIVE. In this book you’ll learn about resistance and how it can kill you. But there’s light at the end of the tunnel - read it and you’ll find a way to beat it.

Another great book from Richard Bach! By far my favorite author. This is an amazing story of LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE. This stuff really happens. 

Another great guest on my radio show. This has been one of the most informative books I have read. If you want to make a living at something you’re passionate about - THIS IS FOR YOU! On a side note - Get ready to work your ass off. If you want it to come easy, you might want to buy a lotto ticket instead.

One of my favorites. I recently had Hugh as a guest on Terry Jaymes ALIVE! He’s a great artist and this book will get your ass in gear. 

I read this book at least twice a year. It’s a story that will make you realize that anything is possible. After this- read anything else by Richard Bach.
